These sponges are 100% natural from the plant root of the Amorphophallus konjac plant which is also a food source and used medicinally in most parts of Asia, particularly Japan since the 6th Century. It is a source of vitamins A, E, D, B1, B2, B6, B12, C, amino acids and minerals such as magnesium, iron, potassium and zinc, which are imparted to the skin when used as a sponge and it also has the added benefit of being alkaline and so helps balance the skin’s pH levels. It is suitable for even the most sensitive skin types.  Gently exfoliating, yet incredibly soft and silky.
It comes dried just run it under the tap to fully hydrate. There is no need for additional cleansers but it can be used with these if desired.  The sponge can do the work of fully cleansing and lightly exfoliating on its own.  It is important to fully rinse, gently squeeze and hang up to dry out after and between uses in a dry ventilated area.
It will not dry out the skin, but leave it soft and revitalized. Stimulates cellular renewal and deep cleansing of the pores.  It is naturally anti-bacterial but if you have more problematic skin the bamboo charchol Black sponge is recommended.  The Pink Sponge has added French pink clay for extra nourishing minerals.  The White is 100% pure – ideal for babies and extra sensitive skin.  The Green has green clay good for combination skin.   Choose a  Bath Sponge for whole body cleansing.  Recommended to replace every 3-5months or when it looses substance.  Then it can be simply added to your compost bin.
